TRANSPORTS TO MIDDLE-EASTERN COUNTRIES
Turkey - Iran;
- Railway connection between Turkey and Iran is established via
Trans Asya train that serves once a week between Istanbul-Tehran-Istanbul and that is composed of couchette cars; and
a train that serves once a week between Van-Tabriz-Van that is composed of 2 nd Class compartment (with seating places) cars.
Turkey - Syria;
Railway connection between Turkey and Syria is established via sleeping cars that are hitched onto Toros Express once a week that serves between Istanbul-Gaziantep-Istanbul.
Iran - Turkey - Syria ;
Railway connection between Iran and Syria is established via a passenger train that serves between Tehran and Damascus once a week and that passes through our country. This train consists of Pullman and sleeping cars from Damascus to Tatvan and of couchette cars from Van to Tehran .
Turkey - Iraq ;
Railway connection between Turkey and Iraq is established via a train consisting of sleeping cars that serves once a week between Gaziantep-Baghdad - Gaziantep . However, the service of this train has been temporarily suspended by reason of the current events in Iraq .
